Just Tracys April Challenge

Well I pulled my finger out and actually made a card for the April Challenge!!!

I used an 8x8 cream blank card, then created on large square and a smaller rectangle matt with Hunky Dory lime green pearlescent card and Cosmo Cricket 12x12 paper. I then created a topper sheet with yellow and green distress ink through a flower patterned mask, then matt onto Tulip core'dinations paper.

Stick the 3 matts together and fasten a piece of lace across the bottom and stick onto the card blank. I decorated the card with a bunch of yellow flowers, a net butterfly with tiny pearl butterfly trails, a tiny yellow bow three heart shaped yellow pearl embellishments.

STITCHES

Well I've finally calmed down after the Trade Show at the NEC, saw many lovely things and went to 3 super workshops and one not so super one!

Spent far too much of the shops money, as usual, but we should have a smashing shop when it all starts to arrive.

But for now its back to routine, helping customers, paying bills, classes, paying bills, preparing samples, paying bills - well you get the picture!

Well better finish now as its demo day today and I hope we'll be busy.

Here are some pictures of the three good workshops we did and what we came away with.

and finally .....

I'll post photos of the completed projects later!

February Challenge

Well I finally pulled my finger out and made a card for Just Tracys February Challenge

I used the Joanna Sheen "Heart of the Garden" CD for the decoupage, backing paper and greeting plaque.

Using a cream 8X8in card blank, matt a 73/4in square of pink co'ordinations card stock onto the card and then a 7/12in square of the printed backing paper on top.

Mount the bottom layer of decoupage onto another piece of the pink card stock and make up the decoupage as required. Add some sparkle with a quickie glue pen and glamour dust glitter.

Mount a piece of lace onto a strip of the pink card and fasten with double sided tape. Using 3D foam pads attach this to the right hand side of the card.

Using 3D foam pad attach the decoupage panel to the card and finish with a greeting plaque.

Christmas is Coming!!

Christmas is coming much too fast for me, still not finished my cards or shopping - but hey ho still got 10 days to go.

Okay this could be a marathon post - so much to catch up on - but first my Christmas message (see Tracy I am a queen) I would like to thank my business partner and best mate Tracy for dragging me out of retirement and into the shop, I've loved every minute and may it long continue. Also thanks to Marion, our lovely patchwork tutor for teaching me so much in such a short time, you can see some of the results below and to Jill for her tidying, nagging and especially for her wonderful scrapbooking. Also thanks and happy Christmas wishes to all our customers - thanks for your support over the last two years. And finally to my wonderful hubby John who has taken over the running of the house while I'm working - couldn't have done it without you and to my two lovely sons for all their help and support.

Now, as promised many months ago, to some of my finished and nearly finished patchwork projects

first my Frontier Doll, I'm really pleased how she has turned out.

My Quilters Tote (big enough to take all my projects)

my Quillo, finished all but the quilting

and my Christmas Table Runner (quilting still to be done - so for next year me thinks!)

and finally something totally different some beaded bells which I have made to sell towards my son and his fiance's 2012 London Marathon charity "Victa" www.victa.org.uk  anyone who would like to donate can do so on http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fundraiser-web/fundraiser/showFundraiserProfilePage.action?userUrl=RichardHoskin

9.10.11

Had a lovely day at the Eden Project yesterday, dispite the rain and cold, watching my son Richard and his lovely fiance Rachel complete the Marathon in 3hrs 58mins and 12 seconds.

Well done on a PB and for breaking the 4 hours.
